The Honeywell Farenhyt 6815 Signaling Line Circuit Expander is an intelligent expansion module designed to increase the addressable device capacity of compatible Farenhyt fire alarm systems. It provides an additional Signaling Line Circuit (SLC), making it an effective solution for large and expandable fire alarm installations where additional detectors, modules, and other addressable devices are required.
Each 6815 SLC supports up to 159 IDP/SK addressable detectors and 159 IDP/SK addressable modules, providing significant expansion capability while maintaining centralized system monitoring and control. The module also supports compatible IDP, SK, and SWIFT devices, allowing greater flexibility when designing and expanding the fire alarm system according to the requirements of the protected facility.
The 6815 communicates with the fire alarm system through the RS-485 system bus, ensuring reliable integration with compatible Farenhyt control equipment. A built-in green LED indicator provides visual confirmation of communication activity, helping technicians monitor the operating status of the module during installation, testing, and maintenance.
The module is compatible with several Farenhyt systems, including the IFP-2100/ECS, IFP-2100/ECSB, RFP-2100/RFP-2100B, and IFP-300/ECS. When used with the IFP-2100/ECS system, multiple 6815 expanders can be incorporated to support a total system capacity of up to 2,100 SLC devices, making it particularly suitable for large-scale and complex fire alarm applications.
