BAVARIA FIRE SEARCH CO₂ Automatic Fire Suppression System

The BAVARIA FIRESEARCH CO₂ Automatic Fire Suppression System is an advanced automatic fire detection and suppression solution that uses carbon dioxide (CO₂) as the extinguishing agent. It is specifically designed to protect enclosed spaces and areas that are difficult to access. The system utilizes a flexible FIRESEARCH detection tube that responds to rising temperatures at the early stage of a fire. When the activation temperature is reached, the tube ruptures and automatically initiates the release of the extinguishing agent, helping to suppress the fire quickly at its source.

The system operates without requiring an external electrical power supply and is suitable for protecting a wide range of applications, including electrical control panels, server rooms, machinery, generators, and other enclosed areas exposed to potential fire risks, making it a practical and effective solution for automatic fire protection.

BAVARIA FIRESEARCH CO₂ Automatic Fire Suppression System

The BAVARIA FIRESEARCH CO₂ Automatic Fire Suppression System is an advanced automatic fire detection and suppression solution that uses carbon dioxide (CO₂) as the extinguishing agent. It is specifically designed to provide effective protection for enclosed spaces and areas that are difficult to access with conventional firefighting systems. The system is designed to detect and suppress fires at their earliest stages, helping to limit fire spread and minimize potential damage within the protected area.

The FIRESEARCH technology is based on a flexible detection tube made from engineered polymer material, which is installed throughout or around the area requiring protection. The tube provides continuous heat detection along its entire length. When a fire occurs and the temperature rises at a specific point, the tube ruptures at the location exposed to the highest heat, causing a pressure drop within the system and automatically activating the fire suppression process.

The BAVARIA FIRESEARCH System is available in two main configurations: the Direct Pressure Operated System and the Indirect Pressure Operated System. In the direct system, the FIRESEARCH tube functions as both the fire detection device and part of the extinguishing-agent delivery system, allowing CO₂ to be released at the point where the tube is affected by heat. In the indirect system, the tube is used to detect the fire and activate the cylinder valve, while carbon dioxide is discharged through a separate piping network and strategically positioned nozzles within the protected area.

One of the system's key advantages is its ability to operate without requiring an external electrical power or energy supply, allowing continuous protection even in locations where electrical power is unavailable. The system can also be connected to an alarm device through a pressure switch to provide notification when the system is activated. According to the brochure, FIRESEARCH is designed to respond rapidly to a fire from its earliest stage.

According to the technical specifications, the BAVARIA FIRESEARCH Carbon Dioxide DHP (Direct High Pressure System) is available in 2 kg, 6 kg, and 10 kg capacities. The cylinder has a test pressure of 250 bar and a burst pressure exceeding 450 bar, and is manufactured from seamless steel. The FIRESEARCH detection tube has a bursting temperature of approximately 100°C ±5°C at 8 bar pressure.

The system consists of several essential components working together to provide automatic fire detection and suppression. These include the CO₂ cylinder, operating valve head, flexible FIRESEARCH detection tube, end-of-line fitting, manometer, and an optional audible and visual alarm unit. The technical diagram in the brochure illustrates how these components are connected to form an integrated automatic fire protection system.

The system is designed to protect a wide range of applications and hard-to-reach areas, including electrical control panels, power panels, server and computer rooms, machinery and generator rooms, engines, escalators, vehicles, buses, boats, and ships, as well as various industrial and commercial applications, fuel stations, and areas containing flammable liquids.

By combining continuous heat detection, automatic activation, rapid response, independence from an external electrical power supply, and CO₂-based fire suppression, the BAVARIA FIRESEARCH CO₂ Automatic Fire Suppression System provides a specialized solution for protecting equipment and enclosed areas against fire hazards, with a focus on detecting and suppressing fires directly at their point of origin as quickly as possible.
