SIGMA CO₂ Fire Extinguishers

Nile Shield provides the SIGMA CO₂ Fire Extinguishers range, designed to deliver effective protection against flammable liquid and electrical fires. The extinguishers use carbon dioxide (CO₂) as a clean extinguishing agent that leaves no residue after discharge, making them particularly suitable for protecting electrical and electronic equipment, control panels, and other sensitive applications.

The range is available in multiple capacities, including SIGMA 6 – 6 kg, SIGMA 10 – 10 kg, SIGMA 12 – 12 kg (2 × 6 kg), and SIGMA 20 – 20 kg (2 × 10 kg). Portable and wheeled configurations are available to meet different fire protection requirements while providing convenient operation, mobility, and maneuverability across various facilities and working environments.

SIGMA CO₂ Fire Extinguishers

Nile Shield provides the SIGMA CO₂ Fire Extinguishers range, designed to deliver effective and reliable fire protection against flammable liquid and electrical fires. These extinguishers use carbon dioxide (CO₂) as a clean extinguishing agent that leaves no residue after discharge, making them particularly suitable for locations containing sensitive electrical and electronic equipment, including control panels, computers, generators, and electric motors.

The SIGMA CO₂ range is available in various capacities and configurations to meet different fire protection requirements. The range includes the SIGMA 6 with a 6 kg capacity as a portable extinguisher, the SIGMA 10 with a 10 kg capacity as a wheeled mobile unit, as well as the twin-cylinder SIGMA 12 with a total capacity of 12 kg (2 × 6 kg) and SIGMA 20 with a total capacity of 20 kg (2 × 10 kg). This variety allows the appropriate configuration to be selected according to the application and fire protection requirements of each site.

The SIGMA 6 features a practical portable design that allows easy handling, operation, and maneuverability. It is equipped with a hose terminating in a discharge horn to direct the carbon dioxide toward the fire. The cylinder has a test pressure of 250 bar and a burst pressure exceeding 400 bar, while the cylinder body is manufactured from seamless steel.

The SIGMA 10 is a 10 kg wheeled carbon dioxide fire extinguisher mounted on a steel-tube carriage and equipped with two rubber wheels for convenient mobility and maneuverability. It also features a high-pressure hose terminating in an electrically insulating conical discharge horn. The unit is designed to operate within a temperature range of -30°C to +60°C, with a test pressure of 250 bar and a burst pressure exceeding 450 bar.

The SIGMA 12 and SIGMA 20 units provide additional flexibility through their twin-cylinder configuration, with both cylinders mounted on a single wheeled steel carriage and connected to a common outlet. The discharge of CO₂ from each cylinder can be controlled independently, allowing one cylinder to be used when sufficient to extinguish the fire while keeping the second cylinder fully charged. This configuration can also provide greater extinguishing capacity and a longer firefighting duration when both cylinders are required.

All models use carbon dioxide as a clean extinguishing agent that leaves no residue and are specified in the product documentation for BE fire classes, including applications involving flammable liquids and electrical fires. The clean-agent characteristics of CO₂ make the SIGMA range especially suitable for applications where minimizing extinguishing residue and protecting sensitive equipment are important considerations.

By combining multiple capacity options, convenient operation, wheeled configurations, seamless steel cylinders, high-pressure discharge hoses, and clean CO₂ extinguishing technology, the SIGMA CO₂ Fire Extinguishers range from Nile Shield provides versatile fire protection options for a variety of electrical, industrial, and commercial applications.
